Judges build a creature ahead of time out of pipe cleaners, Styrofoam balls,
feathers,
toothpicks and small pom-poms.
Two team members view the creature and must nonverbally lead the other three team members
in building a duplicate creature.
All five team members have two minutes to discuss strategy before viewing the creature
5 points for each correctly placed item, 10 bonus points for a correctly finished creature
Three team members must use their bodies to form letters or words
while the remaining two team members must correctly identify the letter or word.
Given one coat hanger, the students are asked to make something that moves
Part 1- Each team member is given a 12 inch square piece of foil.
Each member makes a creation within a one minute time limit.
Part 2- In sequence with no time limit, the tam members tell about their creations
Part 3- In sequence the team members tell about any of the creations they wish.

In part two, you are to explain to the judges your aliens and the characteristics that
explains what planet they came from.
For this you will be given 4 minutes

Build a self supporting structure as long as possible using only the materials
given.
The structure must be constructed such that it is supported above the table top or floor
One point for each inch of clear span between two adjacent floor supports.

Given: (One set per person) Three pieces of tape, one post-it note, one paper plate, one
toilet paper roll,
3 foil stars and 2 pop sickle sticks.
In this problem, you dress up as a celebrity of your choice.
You have three minutes to think and talk or ask questions
and 5 minutes to dress up and explain who your are.
