Given: 2 plastic cups, 4 straws, 6 gum drops, 2 paper plates, 2 pieces of aluminum foil and 10 paper clips
Scenario- A robber is getting into your house. Devise a system to keep him out

Given: 6 paper clips, 4 straws, 3 rubber bands, 4 mailing labels and a small ball of clay.
Make a bridge our of the above materials that will support a ping pong ball.
You have 2 minutes to discuss, four minutes to build and 30 sec. to test the structure

Given: Scissors, glue, tape, 3 sheets of 8 x 11 paper, 2 rubber bands, 2 paper cups, 4 straws, 4 popsickle sticks and 4 Q-tips
your team has 5 minutes to build a flyable plane and practice flying it. When time is up, you will tell why you used each item
and you will have 2 attempts to fly your plane to a designated target.

You will get points for how close the plane comes to the target and how creatively you used the item on your plane.

Given: A piece of paper with 5 stars on it and a pencil
Each team member has 30 seconds to connect the 5 stars into their own constellation.
You may not speak to each other at any time
Collect the papers and redistribute so that no team member receives his/her own constellation
You now have one minute to study this new constellation and come up with both a name for it and a short story about how that name came about.
At the end of the minute, each person will 20 seconds to respond.

Pictures themselves should not be scored; scoring should be objective based on creativity and originality of relationship between picture and name/story

Given: 2 cups, 2 paper plates, 2 coffee filters, 2 cardboard tubes, 10 straws, 2 tacks, 2 margarine lids, 12" of tape, and balloons
You have 15 minutes to create a device that will burst balloons or a balloon five feet away

Given: A large assortment (500-1000) of pictorial stamps from all over the world and the US.
Have them laying face up on a table and have a small box nearby to receive the stamps once they have been used in the story.
The team must make up a story using any information found on any of the stamps.
You may use pictures, countries, any written words, etc.
Once a stamp has been used, it musts be put aside and cannot be used again.
You will be given 5 minutes to think and 2 minutes to verbalize your story. You will be taking turns, each person using one stamp at a time with each person adding to the story line of the team member before them. You will be scored by the number of stamps used, by how creatively they were incorporated into the story and by ow well the team worked together to come up with the solution during think time

Given: A slab of clay, a bag of marbles (large and small) and a bowl of water Using the clay given, design and create a structure that you think will hold the most marbles above ther water line in the bowl
You will receive 3 points for each small marble held, 5 points for each large one.
You will receive 0 points if it doesn't float, 25 if it does
You will receive 1-50 points for creativity and teamwork
You will be given 5 minutes to build and 3 minutes to fill it with marbles
Once you begin filling your structure with marbles, you cannot redo or fix your structure in any way

Spaghetti Tower
Given: 10 pieces of spaghetti and 2 cups of shaving cream
Build the tallest free standing structure possible
You have 2 minutes to think and 3 minutes to respond
Score for planning, estimating and group problem-solving

Band Together
Provide either a pile of rubber bands or a specified amount
The problem for each team member is to pick up 100 or more rubber bands and quickly make a creation and describe it
