Given: 4 toothpicks, 2 cotton balls, 2 bottle caps, 3 cotton swabs, poster board and
markers
Create a flag for our new country O.M. and tell about it
Given: 2 pipe cleaners, 1 Styrofoam cup, 1 light bulb, 3 oz. modeling clay
Construct an alien capable of living on Pluto (take into consideration gravity and
atmosphere - or lack of it). You have 3 minutes to build your alien and 2 minutes to
explain it
Given: crayons or markers, one sheet of paper, one paper plate, 1 popsickle stick, and
12" of tape
You have 5 minutes to create a mask that shows a face you would like to portray to
the world.
You then have 2 minutes to explain your face.
Place a thimble and a button on the table.
Using a die, have a team member roll it.
If it is an even number, they must say something about the thimble
If it is an odd number, they must say something about the button
A one or a 6, you must say something about both objects
Given: 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper, 12 pennies, pen/pencil, 12" ruler, deck of
playing cards, 2 straws and a pair of scissors
The team will have 10 minutes to discuss and build a board game utilizing all the
items given.
You will then have 4 minutes to demonstrate
Playing cards are to remain undamaged
Scoring: 1-10 points for teamwork
1-10 points for creativity
1-10 points for how well the game is demonstrated
Given: 5 belts, 5 rubber bands, one large and one small can and 12 ft of rope.
Put the cans in the middle of a circle created by the rope.
Using the belts and the rubber bands, get the small can and place it into the large can.
Members may not put any part of their bodies in the circle
If they do, they can't use that part of their body. For example, if an arm crosses into
the circle, that member can no loger use the arm
Given: Q-tips and it's box, paper clips, straws and rubber bands
Tie a bucket so it hangs 6 ft. above the ground
The members must be 6 ft. away for the bucket
You will receive 5 points for each Q-tip that gets into the bucket.
You have 2 minutes for planning and 4 minutes for execution
